| ISLA DE COZUMEL | ![]() |
| The 1920's saw regular airline service and the return of travelers like Charles Lindbergh. The island's fame as a premier dive destination began in the 1950's with a visit from Jacques Cousteau to Palancar. His popularization of the reef's spectacular marine life began the touristic boom for the Mexican Caribbean. |

With all its modern conveniences, Cozumel has not lost its small island feel and tranquil charm, still retaining the natural beauty which made it famous. Nearly the entire reef has been made into National Parks in which all marine life is protected. |

The calendar of fiestas runs all year, each reflecting different aspects of Island culture. The annual Spring migration of marlin and sailfish makes for world class fishing in the waters just offshore. Ask Bruce or Doug when the annual fishing tournments are being held. The flat calms of summer expand the range of fantastic diving. One needn't go to great depths for the sight of queen angel fish, giant sponges or graceful sea anemones. |
